Be a New Member Buddy!
Beginning in January 2012, we are implementing a program for new members to acquaint them with MCQA members, activities and events.  In addition to the complete information packet that we give all members, we would like them to have a current member become a Buddy.  If you are interested please let the membership committee know.

MCQA Membership
Annual dues in the amount of $15.00 are payable on January 1st of each calendar year.  Renewal notices will not be mailed so please mark your calendars and pay your dues in a timely manner at a meeting or by mail.  Membership privileges include use of our extensive library of quilting books, monthly newsletters, free or reduced rates on programs, classes and retreats offered through MCQA.  Most importantly however is the friendship and sharing with other quilters.  Members can also choose to join smaller Friendship Groups that meet on varying dates and times.

Available Membership Items  
In 2011 a new membership information document was completed by the membership committee.  It will be a helpful tool for new members to learn more about MCQA.  A copy is available by clicking here.  In addition, a new brochure has been printed providing a valuable tool to distribute to quilters.  It explains the goals of MCQA as well details on membership, meetings, charity work and projects.   If you know a good source for distributing some brochures, please send an email to:  quilters@marquettequilters.com. 

New members should include a completed membership form with their dues check.  Current members may use the membership form to change any of their personal information.  Checks should be payable to MCQA and brought to a meeting or sent to:

2011 MCQA membership rosters have been provided
to all paid members. Please remember that this roster is intended for your personal use and should not be copied, shared or distributed to any person or business that is not a guild member. It is important that we protect the personal information of each member. Please remember to share changes of address, email or phone numbers with the membership committee. Thanks!

NEWSLETTERS
Deadline for March 2012 Newsletter: February 22nd 

MCQA newsletters are published on a monthly basis. In order to reduce printing and postage costs, beginning in January 2011 all newsletters will be sent by email and will arrive in your email inbox a week before our monthly meeting. Please print a personal copy. A few printed copies will be available at the guild meeting for guests and members without email. Current and past newsletters are posted on the website  and may be read and printed from the links shown below. Please keep your email address current.
To submit articles or ideas for the newsletter, please contact the newsletter editor at mcqanewsletter@yahoo.com. All entries should be submitted two (2) weeks prior to the next monthly meeting. Monthly newsletter deadlines will be published in the newsletter. Classified and display advertising are available to members for a minimal charge. Further information may be obtained by contacting the newsletter editor.
