   Membership Meeting:  Wed., Feb. 1st, 6:30pm
The February program will be presented by the Explorer Friendship Group.  Be ready for a lot of fun exploring color from an entirely different approach.  Please wear a solid color top of your choice! 
Remember to bring items for the sale table!  Don't forget to come early for the semi-annual library book sale.  Go the the Library Page for a list of items that will be sold.

 General Information 
The Marquette County Quilters' Association (MCQA) was formed in 1978 and is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the art of quilting, patchwork, appliqué, and related fiber arts. Centered in Marquette, our members hail from several counties in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  MCQA is a nonprofit organization whose members make and donate quilts to various charities, provide education on the art of quilting and host a bi-annual quilt show.  Further history of MCQA may be obtained by reading an article written in 2006 by Alice Johnson for the Michigan Quilters' Link the publication of the Michigan Quilt Network.  Click here.  The MCQA Constitution & Bylaws were revised and approved in September 2011.  A complete copy of the document may be obtained by clicking here.  Thanks to everyone that helped to facilitate this process.

Our Guild Meetings
The Marquette County Quilters' Association (MCQA) meets at 6:30pm on the 1st Wednesday of every month in the Community Room, lower level of Peter White Public Library, 217 N. Front St., Marquette. Our meetings consist of a short business meeting including announcements and committee reports, an educational program, a social period plus a highly anticipated show and tell.  We encourage guests to join us.  Please the check  announcements/calendar page for additional meeting and program information. 
 
Please note:
It has been the policy of MCQA that our meeting will be cancelled due to weather conditions IF Marquette Public Schools have been closed for that day.  Please listen to local media to verify school cancellations.  If the weather deteriorates later in the day, the Board will attempt to contact the media however if you have a question, please contact any board member.
